What ligthing setup for Flimmaking and photgraphy

Hello people,

 

I'm actually looking at cheapo lights for photography and filmmaking and landed on the YN 216, Newer Cn-216 and the Aputure h198 (notice that they are all LED lights). However as filmmaking require a lot of output. I maybe thought about buying 3 YN 216 as my key, fill and hair light. So is it a good idea, or do somebody here as a better option (For less than £50/60$ Though). If someone with a bitof  lighting experience also have some advise to give, ur welcome

If your budget is only ~$60, there aren't that many options than buying cheap lights.  The kind of lights you buy depend on how you want to light the set and talent (actors, models).

 

You can buy LED panels, LED Fresnel lights, LED tube lighting, single color, bi-color, adjustable brightness, strobes, etc.  Keep in mind cheap lights are just that, cheap lights.

 

For photography, I recommend strobes over continuous lights.
