Most programs don't actually care your hardware does not meet the requirements unless there's a feature in the hardware the software really needs in order to function. RAM does not have any special functions, so it shouldn't care about how much RAM you system has.

Otherwise, no. Unless you lie to your BIOS somehow or hack the OS, the OS is going to continue reporting the amount of RAM you actually have.

I know that's the thing that bothers me there is no reason for novideo to lock it down but I guess it causes people to get new PCs which makes them money, but thanks

All you could do would be to hack the executable to skip over the memory check or to reverse the memory check  (basically instead if memory < 3 GB to think if memory = 3 GB)

Maybe you could find some virtual machine that would allow compress memory pages in real time or use disk space to fake out ram, but it's highly unlikely.  I think some high end systems allow to run multiple virtual machines (like 3 machines each with 4 GB of memory on a system with only 8 GB of memory) and page out memory pages when needed... but I don't think you can configure those with more memory than you actually have.

It is kind of dumb the only reason i got a novideo card was to do stuff like shadowplay and game stream, might as well have saved some money and just whent with AMD

You could upgrade RAM on that PC. 1GB DDR2/DDR3 should be very cheap to come by (<$10) if you buy it used, and RAM lasts for a looooooong time so getting some used usually is riskless.

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

You can check out the old one that gave joy to so many across the land here

yeah the only problem is that my mobo only has 2 slots so i would have to completely get rid of my current ram, I'm thinking about calling up a charity pc recycling place near me and see if get some there.
