Vanquish is coming to PC

Someone needs to tell Platinum games that Christmas is in December. 1st we got Bayonetta, now they're bringing vanquish to PC too. It releases on May 25th.

I don't have Nier, but I heard that game has received performance patches.

Enjoyed this game back on whatever old console it came out on (can't remember). It was short, but sweet.

I don't remember Nier getting any updates on Steam. The only thing patching the game is the FAR mod.

 

It runs well, I'm playing at medium 1440p with an RX 460 with 40+ FPS. It's just the annoying resolution stuff.

Just got a mail from Bundle Stars about 30% for Vanquish since I got Bayonetta from them. I saw some other pages have similar discounts, 25% and such. 

Day 1 buy.

Bayonetta is a first class port. I get constnt 55+ FPS at 1080p on high/very high on GTX 850m. Much, much better than the PS3 version.

Magic. Pure magic. You can run it at 4K 60 FPS locked with a 1060.

The only bug I found was that AA wasn't being applied, but performance-wise it's impeccable.

I think Nier is a slightly better port than it has gotten credit for. It's got all the right features to be an alright PC release (arbitrary resolutions, not-30 FPS cap, rebindable controls). The only issue I encountered in like 80 hours of play was the weird resolution scaling when set to full screen, which I fixed with a mod within like a day of release. It has far fewer problems than any Elder Scrolls or Fallout game on PC, and everyone thinks those are just the bee's knees.

 

But yeah, Bayonetta seems pretty great for the most part. I've heard there is an issue related to Steamworks possibly causing a framerate issue for a few people, and that MSAA beyond 2x has to be forced outside the game.

Oh I totally agree, it's just annoying that whenever I tab out it goes to Windowed and I have to set it back to Fullscreen.
