Fan not showing up in BIOS/UEFI

Go to solution Solved by VinZie,

Do you have a fan splitter?

Also make sure you plugged them into 3 pin not 4 pin connectors.

Case fan does not show up in BIOS/UEFI.

Motherboard: Z170-HD3P

Fan: SP120

Edit: Fan does turn on, however it runs noticeably faster than the SP120 (that's probably just my fan curve) connected right next to it.

Edit 2: It seems to be running at full speed

Unplug it, plug it back in? Common fix. Even Linus said in Petabyte Project.

Did that, nothing happened -_-

No fan splitter.

It's plugged into the 4-pin connector however (only connector available, although it worked perfectly in the past (I think)).

Edit: Nevermind I know why now. -_- I'm so f*cking dumb

Did that fix it?

Well yes, as 3-pin fans don't work well with 4-pin I guess.
