So I have a Seagate Firecuda 2TB 2.5 hard drive in my desktop and I'm only getting read and write speeds of around 30MBps on a SATA 3 interface where as my 2 desktop drives that are in raid 0 can get up to 200MBps on a SATA 2 connection, Any ideas?

What are you using to test speeds?

Is there a os that is running on this drive. I'd try a reformat without a os.

no this is with nothing else using the drive and the drive is only used for game storage

So apparently enabling write cache on the drive boosted read to 104MBps and Writes to 63MBps, doesn't make much sense to me but hey it works.

Honest question: isnt that how the hybrid drive works and the benefit to it? caches most used data on the ssd and storage on the hdd?

Yeah, it's slow the first time its sees data. Then it has SSD speeds on reoccurring transfers of that data. He'd have to run the benchmark multiple times to accurate speeds.

This should be done on the drive level and shouldn't be an option to be toggled on windows, from my understanding the windows option is for RAM caching
