Hello all, a friend of mine wants to start a streaming/let's play channel and needs a new PC. he knows a bit about computers but not much about speeds and feeds of the new components.

His budget is $2500 CAD and he is buying within canada. His onle specs is that he wants to be able to play any title at max settings in 1080p 60FPS or better. He also needs the option open to add many more drives in the future as he plans to have dedicated drives for edited and un edited footage. here is the list:

@Kahman10,

 

If  you stick with Intel, consider a 2x16GB memory kit like G.Skill - Ripjaws V Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4-2400 Memory. Better performance and leaves two memory slots free for upgrading if that ever becomes necessary.

 

You might also consider a better psu. SeaSonic M12II 520 Bronze is a good choice. EVGA SuperNOVA 550 even better.

 

An 8-core Ryzen would provide better editing performance and very decent gaming at 1080.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
