lol yea though these desktop GPUs are at least making gaming laptops a BIT more reasonable to buy.  I do bag  a wireless mouse but I use the trackpad a LOT when I'm not gaming or doing anything important. The idea of an ultra thin gaming laptop is it still functions as a regular ass laptop. I don't see myself leaning back in a chair someone killing time on reddit or LTT with that dumbass trackpad I have to reach for and looks cancerous to use once you reach for it. I'd rather use a 10 pound laptop or anything in between with a functional trackpad (I've used heavier! )

It's the name of their gaming line... That's like saying "ASUS seriously needs to stop calling everything ROG" or "AMD needs to stop calling everything Radeon" :P

Edit: that was a bad example, "Nvidia needs to stop calling everything GeForce" would probably be more fitting since AMD still calls their Pro line "Radeon" (or at least they do now).

I'd settle for them not naming titans like macbooks or Nintendo handhelds

Trackpad is unusable, keyboard looks seriously uncomfortable, and laptops should really be 16:10 to minimise bezels and make it feel larger for mobile use.

Laptop: Asus GA502DU

RAM: 16GB DDR4 | CPU: Ryzen 3750H | GPU: GTX 1660ti

I mean... if I'm bringing my laptop somewhere, I probably have enough space (in a backpack or whatever I'm lugging with me) to at least bring a tiny wireless mouse or something. But there are definitely some scenarios (eg using a laptop on an airplane or something) where the trackpad is necessary, and I certainly agree that this placement is pretty awful for that.

Even when I'm at a desk I don't want to use a mouse. I actually prefer using a good trackpad to a mouse (obviously not when gaming).

I do need to get a new wireless mouse, my old one died, so for me to carry around a mouse I have to deal with the cable and for basic things like browsing the web and watching Netflix a mouse just isn't worth the hassle of dealing with a cord (and can be a hassle with Netflix as bumping the table or wherever the mouse is sitting causes the info bars to pop up), I only break out my mouse when I need to do REAL work in Autocad because the scroll wheel is a VITAL requirement to navigating that software or when I game, as such I don't typically carry a mouse with me or feel the need for one enough to justify the cost of new wireless mouse.
