AM4 X300 M.2 NVMe boot drive in Raid 0

Hi, does the new AMD X300 chipset support two M.2 NVMe in Raid 0 for a boot drive? I would like to see if it's possible to use one drive connected to the M.2 slot on the motherboard and the other drive would be connected to a x4 PCIe slot. I understand the risks but just curious to see if it's possible.  Thanks!

Thanks for the response.  I do not have an AMD board but am curious if AMD is following Intel in allowing users to boot from RAID with the Z170 and Z270.

None one seems to talk about motherboard raid cause it sucks and you shouldn't use it. Its a hack

If you want your os on a raid, use software raid(mobo raid is software raid) or a raid card.

For the question, I don't think you can due to how pcie is setup(one off chipset and one off cpu), but you should be able to with sata.

Ok great, thanks for the info.   I was just looking at see how the new X300 compares to Intel's.   I have no plans to RAID esp the boot drive.
