Hi guys , I haven't used a Mechanical keyboard and I want to go ALL out on my first one , I decided to buy the Corsair K70 LUX Cherry MX RED switches keyboard , but I noticed a different version called RAPIDFIRE with the same cherry mx switches but shorter travel distance , does anyone here who has the RAPIDFIRE version so i can have some feedback on it , or do i just get the normal , non rapidfire version , Thanks !
I'm currently using an old keyboard from razer - Razer Anansi

depends what you are going to do with it. all versions of the k70 are good, get whichever is cheaper.

I play CS:GO and shooter games , MOBA's too , i feel like i could benefit from the rapidfire , but i want to feel the satisfactory clicks of the keyboard aswell and I am kinda scared the rapidfire version will lack that , but thanks either way , i will see what i will buy

I just got the K70 LUX with MX Browns... love it. The tactile feel is important to me, but I really like that it's not as "clacky" as the Razors that I have had before.

I have a corsair K70 with cherry reds and a K70 Rapidfire RGB - there are quite a few noticeable differences between the Cherry reds and the Cherry silver switches .

1. The Rapidfire switches have a shorter travel distance and are much more responsive - they feel crisper and are better IMHO

2. the Normal cherry reds feel a little mushy compared to the Rapidfire switches - almost a bit like wet newspaper

3. Overall - the corsair K70 RGB Rapidfire keyboard is a lot  better than the normal K70 cherry Red Keyboard - the space bar especially is very crisp feeling compared to the Normal K 70 -

not sure if the springs in the switches are different but overall the K70 Rapidfire RGB is a way superior keyboard IMHO

I've had the Corsair K70 Vengence with red switches for 3 years now and I can honestly say the K70 Rapidfire RGB is a superior produce in every single way

Once you get used to the Rapidfire there's no going to any other switch - for gaming or typing - the Rapidfire rocks !!!

I suggest you get to as store and try out before you buy but after having used a K70 with reds for 3 years and having now been on a rapidfire for 4 moinths there's no doubt in my mind that the Rapidfire wins hands down in every department -

I recommend you save money and get the K70 RGB Rapidfire - best keyboard on the market IMHO - and if u can afford go for the K95 Platinum Rapidfire -

that's the same as the K70 Rapidfire but it has extra macro switches on the left hand side -

What do you guys think about Logitech G610 Orion Brown , I wanted to buy Corsair k70 LUX Cherry mx Brown but I can't find a retailer in my country that sells it so i settled with the logitech , looks really good but lacks a wrist rest

My brother has the G610, but with red switches. It's a solid keyboard. Also, I don't find much to gain with wristrests and keyboards. I tend to buy my own, 3M makes a great one that I've been using for the past few years. I've stopped using wrist rests that come with keyboards since.

I myself have a Ducky Shine 6 Snow White edition with silver (speed) switches and love it. I like how easy it is to type on. It's so effortless and easy to type / I prefer it over my brother's reds. However, it's all personal preference. I'd definitely hit up a store and try the switches and see what you like best.
