Posted April 19, 2017 SO I've had my pc for the best part of 3-4 years now, and recently it's started slowing down to the point where it's barely useable. Sometimes it's okay, sometimes it isn't. Half the time everything will be fine, programs load quickly, everything works, etc, but other times itll just be ridiculous, stuttering on dragging things around, ridiculous load times for programs, chrome taking MINUTES to load webpages, freezing and crashing programs, etc etc. I've checked taskmanager during these times (takes like 3 minutes to open) nad it shows that mem and cpu usage are all below 50%, CPU and GPU are idling at a nice 30-35 degrees so it's not thermal throttling. There are no fps problems in games. Malwarebytes says everythings clear, but I dont have a normal virus scanner as avast has decided it wants to not work and refuses to scan anything. Are there any windows diagnostic tools to try and figure out a problem? Or programmes like the disk defragger to maybe help anything? Thanks in advance.
