Which 1080 Ti should I get

on the guru 3D ones I put you on the system specs page so you could see them but the tweaktown system specs are very similar, and on the picture below I picked all the games that guru 3D and tweaktown both used and averaged the FPS out

Disagree. SEA HAWK X 1080 TI is AIO liquid cooler.

He did not mention that in his list and a seahawk would be expensive af. If you want liquid and you have money you should made a custom loop with EKWB instead

No point, they all boost to more or less the same. He can do FE + water cooler kit from Arctic. Not much more expensive, quiet and he'll never have to worry about temps.

 

Open loop is unnecessary for this, temps stay at 50 or less under load when OC.

I'd actually recommend the EVGA 1080 Ti (whichever version you want or need), mostly because of EVGA's customer service. Asus makes good cards, but if it breaks on you or comes dead in the box, Asus is gonna take every opportunity to screw you over.

Check out my signature and see what I have. It is ultra quiet, fan can be replaced + like I said, he doesn't have to buy the Sea Hawk, he can get the Artcic AIO + FE. Will work just as well. Something what Gamers Nexus did.

But getting a separate AIO cooler for your card is hella expensive, and something you most likely won't need unless you're gonna be overclocking pretty high

Watch Gamers Nexus videos on 1080 TI's. BOOST 3.0 takes care of everything and there's literally no headroom. The only thing that matters now is: temps, looks and noise.

Not that expensive. Founders in UK is £680 + AIO is like £90 so that is £770. MSI 1080 TI costs this much (Twin Frozr one).

You can get a non founders for $700 US, and the least expensive liquid cooler would probably be like $100, so that's an $800 GPU setup. If OP has that kind of money and he really needs the OC headroom, go ahead, but that's a prohibitive cost for anyone without money burning a hole in their pocket.

True, but he's getting 1080 TI (which is ultra expensive anyway) so anyway so he might as well spend a little extra.

"A little extra" That's another $100 on an AIO setup that you don't really need. The 1080ti will kick ass without an AIO, and even with one, it probably wouldn't see a very huge performance increase. I mean hell when i'm gonna do my new build, I chose a Noctua air cooler for my CPU over an NZXT Kraken, just because AIO's are so loud and expensive. And the gain from them really isn't that big. For CPU's, you only gain about 10 degrees on average when switching to an AIO.

I have H115i and I can't hear a thing. Every 1080 TI will kick ass as long as it's cooled properly and doesn't throttle down like founders edition does. I mentioned this before.....

You must have a pretty damn good case then, because these sound levels say otherwise...

And yes, I know this. But putting an AIO on it really won't improve your performance too much. It's not worth the money.

No, I simply have touchscreen fan controller so I control speed of my fans. + I have a case which looks like shotgun had fun with it. Holes everywhere, it is genuinely quiet.

 

+... I have sandwich config on my H115i. So 4 fans.
