rx 580 vs. gtx 1070

I have a ryzen 5 1600 build and i am wondering if i should get a rx580 and save some money which would be good or should i go with a gtx 1070 ?

you should get on average 20-25% better fps with a 1070, so if you think that performance metric warrants an extra $150 go for it.

if you're gaming at 1440p or higher then the 1070 is a no brainer, but if not, other than eye candy you're not really gaining much by going with the 1070, and i'd rather save a bit and go for the 580.

depends, what you using it for??? gaming, yes if you can squeeze it into your budget without too much issues, word prossessing, no point, anything else that doesn't rely heavily on GPU preformance, but rather CPU preformance, no point, a better CPU would be better there

The 580 is just a polaris refresh so not much improvement over the 480, go for a 1070 instead.
