Is a 430w power supply enough for this build?

It's possible, but I'd go with 500W just to be safe, it opens more room for upgrade as well.

Still enough. But the PSU quality is a big concern...

I agree, go with a higher quality power supply.

Here's some suggestions:

1. 42$ (37$ after 5$ rebate) : SeaSonic S12II 430B 430W  https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151074&ignorebbr=1

2. 45$ (30$ after 15$ rebate) SeaSonic S12II 520 Bronze 520W  https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151094&ignorebbr=1

I'd also suggest going with a single 8 GB DDR4 stick, because you'll probably soon find 8 GB is not enough for some games. In the future, it would suck to buy another pair of 2x4 GB to raise your total memory to 16 GB, and you wouldn't be able to get much money if you'd ever plan to sell those memory sticks.

With just one memory stick, you'll have slightly less performance initially, but almost unnoticeable - you can counteract that by going with a higher frequency memory stick.

For example, for less money you can get this:

* 54$ : 2800 Mhz CL17  (ripjaws 5 like the one below) : https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820232314&ignorebbr=1

* 53$ : 2800 mhz cl17 g-skill aegis : https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820232314&ignorebbr=1

* 57$ : 2800 Mhz CL17 memory : http://www.outletpc.com/xg4922-gskill-ripjaws-v-series-8gb-288pin-ddr4-sdram-280.html

* 55$ : 2667 Mhz CL15 memory : http://www.outletpc.com/lp9632-gskill-ripjaws-v-series-8gb-288pin-sdram-ddr4-266.html

and others... newegg has a bunch of them... aim for 2666 mhz or higher, ryzen likes higher frequency memory.. you may not be able to configure the memory at the highest value it supports but you can always configure them at lower frequency (for example get 2800Mhz CL17 and run them at 2667 Mhz Cl15)

Enough YES Good? Hell NO.

If u are on a budget the best option is Corsair CXM Grey unit or if u cant find it Seasonic s12ii is a good option.

And u might want to add an SSD for boot device it will make your system faster when booting/opening program and more responsive.

Well fuck me then lol.... I had already bought the PSU... could I just stick with this PSU until I get enough money for another one that's a 500w and a better quality? If I can do that what's some suggestions on a 500w PSU?

You could but u better have to hurry and not using it for too long..

Corsair CXM grey unit or Seasonic m12ii would do just fine.. if u want to go for a high end super flower leadex and evga g2 is the way to go.

Ok thanks I'll try to get the one you recommended as soon as I can

It will work just fine.... People are getting paranoid over PSU..

If you can afford try get better quality 500w, but a 430 is enough and even the worst will do the job for years so...

I personnaly would prefer to invest a little bit more $$ to get some quality !!! like everyone told you !

So I don't really need to change my PSU unless I want to upgrade one of my parts?
