Nvidia GPU Freesync monitor 200hz Vsync question

Hi i have just bought a AOG AGON AG352QCX its a free sync monitor and i have a GTX 980ti the screen is capable of 200hz refresh rate. And my frame rate on csgo is consistently 299 according to the in game fps counter. obviously i cant use freesync but i was hoping someone could confirm that vsync will stop screen tearing and limit my frame rate to that of the monitors refresh rate in this case would be 200Hz most likely my current screen doesn't have freesync or gsync i don't think and i run csgo at 299fps and i don't even notice any screen tearing anyway so it might not be an issue but i like to be reassured

You shouldn't see much screen tearing if any at all with vsync enabled with that setup.

You can use Fast-Sync, enable it in NVIDIA Control Panel for CS:GO, it is much better than V-Sync.

i thought that might be the case but i would be a bit disappointed to buy a $750 monitor and have it play up.
