hi, main issue:

Does anybody here know of a cheap external gpu box, with or without a powersupply, and that uses usb type-c (thunderbolt 3), and that cost less than 300$. Or if you know of a board that have a pci-e and that conects with type-c, basicly an adapter from thunderbolt to pci-e. I have a psu and can make the box myself if I can find the mainboard, i have found some boards on ebay that have pci-e but they use usb 3.0. i want to conect my rx480 to my dell xps 9550.

backstory:
I have an rx 480 on a amd fm2 platform, the cpu does bottleneck the gpu, but the main issue is frame drops and bad utilization, the cpu is not on 100% usage, more like 70-80% ish, and the gpu is not on 100% either, always spiking up and down between 0 and 70%. I have tried many things to try to fix the issue but with no succes, so currently if I want to upgrade my desktop I have to buy a new cpu combo and if I go intel i5 or ryzen 5 its still at least a 400$ upgrade, so instead of using that much money, my plan is to take the rx 480, 500w psu, ssd + hdd and make an external box where I can have every thing inside, and have the gpu connected with type-c to my laptop, a dell xps 15 with an i7 6700hq, a very powerful cpu that I know will not botleneck the rx480. I have no idea if this is possible because i cant find a board that uses type-c to pci-e.
