In what could i upgrade my cpu? [Current CPU: AMD A8-6410]

Hey guys. I don't really know in what I could upgrade my cpu to... Right now i've got an AMD A8-6410 2.0Ghz (Boosting up to 2.4Ghz), Could I upgrade to a Ryzen 5? Thanks in advance

Yeah Ryzen 5 will be your best bet. Get the 1400 or the 1600 depending on your budget.

You will need to buy a new AM4 motherboard if you plan on upgrading to ryzen

Ohh god! Mother of hell! How do you even live? My IGPU (HD 6530D) was super trash. My GT 730 kicks the crap out of it without issues and doesn't consume the power of the goddamn sun while doing it

well I slightly overclocked it to 850 MHz on the core clock and 1000 MHz on the memory clock. I'm running csgo in 720p with 80 fps(cpu bottleneck). This year i'm looking into upgrading my hole system

Lol, My HD 6530D ran at the same fps and resolution at 444 Mhz and no CPU bottleneck

It's a netbook CPU. I think it boils down to changind the device outright.

It still consumes more power than the whole CPU+iGPU of that A8, though.

at 900p it sits at 40-60 fps with no cpu bottleneck.

1. Yeah I thought so, Id still slightly expect it to outpace my old as hell A6 I mean common it was released in 2011 and it still outpaces that A8

2. Yeah you got a point there. My A6's monster 112W TDP and the GT 730's cool 30W is still way more than the A8 alone

I mean the GT 730 alone surpasses it. It's a 15W mobile APU.

True, But its still better than the 65W TDP of my IGPU. Plus it outperforms it significantly. I say for 30$ used it was worth buying

Lol, I got lucky with my HP (yes I have a prebuilt because I got into PC gaming and tech 1 year after I had the machine). Came with A 1080p 60 Hz 5 ms IPS, freaking glorious for being bundled for free for the 700$ I paid back in 2011 for my machine.

Yep, Also im happy for the deal I got on my GT 730, 30$ used for a 1 GB GDDR5 version aint bad at all. CS:GO plays at high settings at 80 to 100 FPS. Hell Tomb Raider (2013) Runs at 1080p Medium. I even threw Crysis 3 at it for the lols and got 60 FPS on 720p Minimum. Moral of the story is always buy GDDR5 products
