Bad performance in Squad & Battlegrounds

Hello everone,

 

I am having perfomance issues in the above mentioned games.

I am running them on 1440p with the following setup:

 

- GTX 1070 FTW overclocked to 2000mhz

- 6700k overclocked to 4,6ghz

- 16 gb DDR4 2400

 

Squad hovers around 50-60fps on high settings, which is playable, but I expect alot more since the graphics are not really up to date.

Battlegrounds is also quite bad - around 45-60 fps on high (not ultra) settings. Since this game has even worse graphics than squad, I am truly puzzled on why the performance is so bad.

 

Is it just poor optimization since the games are in early access?

Yeah, I wouldn't expect too much at this state.

Games still need a lot of work (both of them)

You probably have it right there. 

Or you are running something in the background.

the game is optimized badly. they never focused on performance and security, thats what the coming updates will be doing.

early access games are always poorly optimized. so those framerates are to be expected tbh.
