...dual Hawaii XT graphics card

James_AJ

Yeah looks like a bad photoshop, plus you would not use blower style fans on a dual GPU card.

It says on the bottom right that it's not a real card.

All the power consumption in the world!

I bet these cards will be 'designed' to run at 110C

I wanna see how this does on counter strike source 800x600 xD inb4 cpu bottleneck

I think you'll need a dual LGA 2011 board for this, and if you crossfire it, quad LGA 2011.

Back from the dead....

I thought Mantle was supposed to reduce the possibility that a GPU would be bottlenecked by the CPU. At least, that's what I took from the APU13 keynote speeches.

I don't CS:Source is going to get Mantle but I could be wrong; you could however take that as the FPS will be so high that the CPU will still be the bottleneck

They will need to  use a 240 radiator to cool this plus fans on the gpu. Like the ARES II but 240mm radiator

Read the OP and the disclaimer found in the picture itself. Its a fake picture. A projection made from photoshop of how it could look like.

3. Will probably have terrible cooling too.

"Terrible cooling" is putting it lightly, heck it might be an understatement. 1 core, 95C... yeah I do no want to be near this thing when it ramps up.

I honestly doubt it'll be full fledged Hawaii XT's, they'll need to gimp the shit out of it *cough*GTX 690*cough* but if ASUS does what they did with the ARES II...  BOO YA

numbers kinda make sense as i was thinking r9 390 was going to have 4096 Stream Processes but if they pull this off, and then with the die shrink they are able to do what they did with the 5870 and Fit this Dual GPU card onto a single die and not have it melt it would be stupidly fast

Guys read fisrt please, the image is a dramatization it says 'not a real card' on the picture, and on the bottom of the text it clarifies the card displayed it's photoshop.

Yeah, you can really only have 1 blower style fan on a card.  I get it is just a fake picture, but honestly, there isn't even any room for a heatsink on this rendering.  If this GPU exists, it will probably have something similar to the 7990 cooler, which performed pretty well.

WHAT! Insane!

I'm very surprised because of how log it took AMD to build the 7990...

Rofl i can see that the pic says: "not a real card" but i would seriously ROFL if they decided to use that design on the finished product.

To be serious now i expect ti to look like the 7990, that cooler was not that bad!

If this card is going to sell, then at least place fan blades asymmetrically so it's quieter.

it's too bad noctua industrial fans are SO expensive
