Auotdesk Inventor and Simulation should I go Server or Desktop

Hello all,

     New to this forum. I am looking for some advice or some help on designing/building a rig for mainly CFD simulation and some light Autodesk Inventor. I have about a 5000 usd budget to work with. If I do go the route of the server I would be looking for a setup I could add to and upgrade overtime as more money comes available. I have read that Inventor runs based on single core performance, if I remember correctly, but as I make the transition to more CFD simulations I am curious if I would be better off going with a server and being able to run several simulations at once. Any advice would be helpful, thank you all for your help.
