I underclocked my A10-7890k from 4.1ghz to 3.7 ghz in the UEFI with my Asus A68HM-E. Is it safe?

To answer the question.  yes, you could even undervolt a bit if you want lower temps.

LMAO yeah underclothing is extremely safe cause it is less of a strain on the CPU. Your poor sister.

I believe it's possible to underclock to the point of inoperability, but I doubt it will physically damage hardware.

 

I would simply disable all the cores except for the first if you desire light sabotage.  More effective than messing with clockspeeds.

Well depending on the subject i think underclothing can be a lot better then underclocking. As to the op, yeah its safe.

I think you need to take it down more then 3.7 Ghz if you want to make a difference :p.
