Is underclocking safe?

I underclocked my A10-7890k from 4.1ghz to 3.7 ghz in the UEFI with my Asus A68HM-E. Is it safe?

That is funny, I would also love to know what she did to upset you that much to go through the effort of asking if underclocking is safe just to get back at her - its a good idea until she throws it out of a window!

if she asks you what you think is wrong with it, make sure to suggest that a virus will slow down the computer

I believe it's possible to underclock to the point of inoperability, but I doubt it will physically damage hardware.

I would simply disable all the cores except for the first if you desire light sabotage.  More effective than messing with clockspeeds.
