what drugs are you on? new gtx and vega will be much more expensive, its funny how a "shit" card is close to a 1070 in terms of performance.

It is if you want performance near a 1070 and don't have the money for a 1070 however if you can afford a 1070 then get one of those instead.

We don't know about vega's pricing yet. and you also reminded me that new RX series is also gonna release, dude R9 is dead, there'll be no updates to it, when AMD has new RX and Vega. It'll get outdated in no time..

Typical nvidia fan boy ignorance. Are you telling me that a Gtx 480 would outperform a fury??? Amd GPUs have always been pretty neck and neck with nvidia GPUs, so r9 is certainly not shit.

Thats like saying the 980 is a peice of shit. Its not a bad card, its jsut from the last generation, and will give good bang for your buck still. Not everyone wants to or has the budget to spend $1000+ on a computer.

I've never bought an Intel or Nvidia pc FYI, I'm a AMD fanboy .. Also, I'm just asking to wait, the newer ones would definitely be better.

a card that shown preforming par with a gtx 1080 will be cheap? r9 is far from dead, its still one of the best value card on the market. yes thare is updates and there will be updates in the future.

Almost 3 years after its release the R9 290X was still well supported:

Better and more expensive. The fury outperforms Gtx 1060 6gb and rx480 8gb cards so it it's definitely a solid deal.
