My laptop, my work machine (A Q6600, pity me, PITY ME /s), an IBM Model M keyboard, a random chinese mouse, two empty soda bottles, two 1080p monitors and lots of paper.

There are 3-4 programs out there that can emulate the official TrackIR program, I prefer opentrack though as it has a better interface over the others. I mainly use it in DCS and occasionaly Warthunder. It does require a lot of tweaking to get the ratio of real head movement to virtual but it is worth it. I don't know if I mentioned but mine is capable of tracking in the X, Y, and Z planes.

ok so one thing i dont get about trackIR is this, you move your head to turn the player's head in game, but you have turned your head away from your monitor in real life, so can't see right ?? it only makes sense to me if the monitor is strapped to your face, such as in VR, but they have their own tracking tech, so what is trackIR for ? I've seen scott manley using it a lot and while it makes for good viewing, it must be shit for him because he can turn his head to turn the character's head, but he has to look away from his monitor to do so. Am i missing something ?

Is that GPU sitting on an external GPU dock for laptops etc.? I think I might have seen one before and if I'm right it uses the slot of your wifi card? Do you actually use the dock or did you just want a place to put your GPU?

It is, and it does. and it does work, if you jump through some hoops.

At the moment it's just a stand for the card, but I do have plans to use it at some point.

You adjust the ratio so that you can still see the screen while still being able to turn your head, it takes a lot of fine tuning as too much and a slight movement will give your person whiplash  and too little will result in you not being able to see your screen.

never even thought about it "gearing down" the amount of movement, that makes sense. bet that's kinda trippy tho right ?

Not really, takes some getting used to though. The neck muscles can get quite sore during a dogfight though.

OK.  Took me a little longer to get home to my computer than I thought.  But here you go.  Pics of my little setup area.  I have a Grunt Pop Figurine still in box on the right of my monitor.  The Normandy SR1 on top of my Phanteks P400S and an N7 Case badge on the front of my case.  On the left of my monitor is my working Omni Blade from the Mass Effect franchise.  Plus my wife did a few Tali Zora custom paintings for above my monitor and on the wall to my left.  Above the Tali painting on my left is a Garrett Hawke limited edition Dragon Age 2 print.  Number 384/500 signed.  Oh and on my left side is my old first generation I7 Toshiba Laptop with an nvida geforce 230M in it.  That bad boy still runs games....not all but most.  And yes....I vape.  Its on the stand to my left.  Keeps me from smoking and well...I enjoy it.

Speakers! A pair of TSI100s by Polk Audio, they serve their purpose very well.

There's also the player that sits on the shelf instead of the desk, its a Sony NS900V, it belonged to Renato Lira from Audiopax way back when. Some say it was used for testing with various customized speakers, it can be seen on some pictures on his website.
