You guys got any advice on lessening the agonizing wait of waiting for the last part you need for your build?

trainergames

I have my build planned out,i am ready to order everything.....But the motherboard has i need has been out of stock since it released...

I really don't want to settle for another one, because it is the only one that has all the features i want.

I had contacted the board maker and they said they sent out shipments already, and i tried contacting newegg(the only place that carries it) and all they will tell me is that they have no idea when it will be back in stock...

I have already waited a month just waiting for Ryzen to come out,and each the wait gets worse and worse...

What can i do to make it not hurt so much?

I would be scared to do that because what if something was DOA.

I have never been an asrock fan personally. I have bought a few boards for them and had more issues or them arrive DoA that I replaced them all and no longer buy their products. I go with MSI for my motherboards personally.

I am mainly getting it for what it has on it. It had Wifi which will be better than my junky d-link USB wifi adapter, it has 2x NVME m.2 slot so i can pick some up later down the road.

Plus i like that it has 10 sata ports, while most other board makers only have 6 or less,it will allow me to reuse my current SSDs(3 of them) and my old 500gb-1TB HDDs(5 of them) with room to add in a 2TB or 2 in a couple of months.

Don't get me wrong,i love MSI my current board is an MSI,but their X370 boards are lacking enough sata ports, even the $300 board only has 6 ports...

indeed. But if you think about it, most people don't require more than 3 or 4 sata connections.... Most people, unless you are running a raid array, wont have as many drives as you do.

Understandable. I have 1 NVMe SSD that I have my most played games on then a 3tb for my music and rest of my game library. Then I have my 250gb 850 Evo boot drive as well as some applications such as open office on it.

I'm in the same boat. I'm just waiting on my motherboard (should be arriving by Wednesday) and my AM4 backplate for my R1 Universal (should be shipping right now).

Well, I still have a working laptop (old $500.00 Lenovo IdeaPad Z-570 from 2011), so playing snake and being excited... and homework.  I have been planning this build since before Black Friday, and ordered all but my MB, CPU, and RAM on Black Friday or Cyber Monday, so I'm used to the wait by now.
