I purchased a Displayport to DVI-D Cable to hook up my GTX 1080 to my Monitor (DP from GTX 1080 to DVI-D on monitor) and it isn't working.  Windows is still detecting only 2 displays (1 monitor via DP and another via HDMI).  I know the 1080 has a DVI port, but it didn't seem to work (i tried a regular DVI cable).  Any ideas?

I can help with programming and hardware.

sounds like an issue with your monitor then. Does it work with other computers/devices?

Or an issue with the DVI cable used after the adaptor.  But yeah, doesn't sound like a GPU or adaptor issue if both don't work.
