I want to buy some sleeved cables so I went to cable mod, a set of custom sleeved extensions cost $54 which was good and I go to checkout. At the bottom it says shipping is $20. This raises price to $74 and is out of my budget now. I'm definitely not buying cablemod if their shipping is $20, what are some good quality alternatives they aren't so expensive?

For extensions, you can look at BitFenix and SilverStone's offerings. They're nowhere near the quality of Cablemod though. Anything that matches Cablemod's quality is likely to be well over $100 from what I've found.

If you want it done cheaper, do it yourself. Buy some wires, pins, connectors and paracord and give yourself a few days work killing your fingers (if you're doing heatshrinkless that is. With heatshrink you can keep your fingers intact.)

Do either of those offer custom sleeving. And yes I would do heatshrinkless. On a different note, I am traveling to Europe soon, I could ship it to somewhere there. Is shipping cheaper to Europe?

Neither of them offer custom sleeving, they're just premade kits, typically in one colour, not patterns. For custom sleeving, CableMod really is the cheapest.

EU store charges $20 for shipping too. Not sure if it's actually dispatched from the EU or from the US. If it's the latter, import, VAT and customs duties are going to make it even more expensive. Maybe @CableMod can clear that up for me.

we have a wide range of extenion kits available:

https://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&Description=cablemod+extension&N=-1&isNodeId=1

http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=cablemod+extension

shipping here would be cheaper as it would ship from the US.

I've thought of that but

1. I'm hoping to make/get sleeving with a design such as this: 8a8e3a791f.jpg

2. Many kits' cables are long from seeing other peoples' and I don't have the cable management space to stuff all those in

I had exact same reasoning as you, so I went with Bit Fenix Alchemy 2. 0 cable kits from Amazon. The cables are a bit stiff, but they look great. Included cable combs are a bit crappy, but it's a tradeoff for saving some money

Ever consider making your own? You could customize to your hearts content then. Supplies: cables (and colored ends ect if you want), Paracord, Lighter, remover tool (optional), a fair bit of time

Side note...I've done a few of them with paperclips and it was really frustrating and killed my hands, so i'd recommend you get a legit tool to do it if you look into it.

Researched it, I am fully capable to do it other then the fact that the crimping tool fills 2/3 of my budget

If you have cables already done that you're going to sleeve you don't need a crimping tool, just a heads up

What I will probably do, but how does inserting cables kill your hands : thinking:

not using a removal tool and using staples instead kills your hands lol...  would not recommend...

Don't have time, patience, desire or tools, I'd rather pay for convenience

Making them from scratch on my own would cost over 80 dollars. Just the supplies cost $38 which is $3 than buying presleeved

I truly don’t mean to offend I hope I do not. And on that note, throw on the big boy pants… Seriously though, I will stop being a idiot. At least try. I found it a little difficult at first I would say honestly finding a good crimper it’s going to be one of the hardest things to get past. But I feel like it’s something that could be picked up pretty quickly and when you finish a good table it’s a pretty awesome feeling and then you have the ability to make all of the cables you want in any color combinations swap in and out cables all sorts of fun stuff .
