I just built my first computer and it went pretty smoothly... until It was time to test it

MOBO: GA-H110M-a

RAM: Avexir Core Series 8GB - 1 stick - 2400     ( https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16820011178 )

Fans spin up and light up, RAM LEDS light up.

I am getting no display signal what so ever.

I am getting continuous beeping from the MOBO

I have checked all of the connectors including the 20+4 pin and the 4 pin CPU power connector

Well, you said there is a light on your DRAM post?

That would say your ram is either faulty, connected wrong, or not compatible.

The beeps will tell you if it is actually ram. I know it just sounds like beeps, but there is a structure to it. Like one long beep followed but two short beeps.

It's not a race to the bottom.

im sorry but most boards do not

i believe it is something to do with the fsb and northbridge chips or southbridge (bridge that onboard gpu uses)

You think different ram will do it then?

years ago i had mobo that allowed ddr 3500 or 3600

but everyone i asked including gods at geek squad said that was ddr2 not ddr and that i was wrong

well guess what i had a transsition board and now on ebay you find 184pin ddr2 sticks dirt cheap

so geek squad never got my business again
