@Xenift It will mostly be used for gaming, but will also be our main computer in the house. Would like it to be able be used as a Plex server for streaming movies as well, if possible. For HDD, I have a 4 tb western digital red already. It is used on another computer that is my Plex server at the moment.

I'm basically hoping I can use this computer for gaming and also Plex streaming. So it would be on all the time.

The RAM kit that you bought is bit overpriced and you can still very good noctua D-14 for less. This will allow you to get a 1080:

EDIT: Also why not get a 7700K? It's not that much pricer.

@Castdeath97 I forgot to mention that I already have the aio and case. I just added it to the list for compatibility. First time using the pcpartspicker and brand new user to the forum. Noob lol

Yes, but why not upgrade that too?

A GTX 1070 is a bit much for 1920x1080.  I only posted the build to show you what that type of PC that budget should buy.

I added another build with the GTX 1070.

Yah that's true...maybe go for the 1080 and upgrade monitor a little down the road. Can't do it all right now, got 3 kids and a wife lol. I budgeted myself about 1200-1500.

As for always having the computer on 24/7, are there Amy negatives with that?
