Best mic for gaming?

I have a pretty good mic right now, but I am interested in a shotgun mic that leans over my desk. I think it's nice as it doesn't take up any desk space, plus its above you and not in the way at all.

 

Some requirements:
 

500 dollar budget for the mic (600 if you include a mic tripod (preferably a telescoping boom)

Shotgun mics only

Optional: Include a good windscreen

Is an XLR mic with an interface an option or do you want to stick with USB solutions?
