An Introduction:  This build takes the convenience of modern day hardware, coupled with clean clear additional modifications to create a much more aesthetically pleasing build than is stock possible using shortcuts along the way to do so. It is a rather symbolic build as it signifies the return of competition in the CPU market since the stalemate that has been the last 5 years. While, I'm not an AMD die hard I really appreciate that in a market where they were heavily pushed out of they are attempting to make a return. Since the system fits my needs so well It is hard to argue against this system for my personal use and you can't build a clean PC without a build log am i right? thus, This Build log was born. Doing a build log helps to keep cable management well, pushes me to do more modding during the building process and regret less later overall. Not only that I am building a tron version of this build with a few higher end parts for my roommate and can see that the compromises that have made in this build to get it to my budget are the right ones for me. I apologize, no it's not a hardcore bad ass 1800 dollar gaming rig, but it is a PC that is more than capable of pushing a nice frame-rate in the games i play such as Overwatch, League, and Blade and Soul while providing me with all the horsepower in the CPU field that will allow me to step up my hobby of editing, my side business dealing with vectors, and the occasional odd job that i get thrown for engineering, all while coming in at around the 700-800 dollar price range depending on if i go with an 8 core or 6 core CPU.

Seems good my man. Are you considering getting an extra 8 GB for your rig? It might be neccessary, depending on your daily use. I can't imagine what my life would be without 16 gigs.

Let me know how this Ryzen performs, I'm looking forward to get one of these. Having the same performance as Intel's counterparts for a lower price seems good to me.

Yeah, I'll upgrade to 16gb, opted for 8gb so i could save for the cpu/mobo faster

Gpu came in today, All purchased items have now arrived, Have yet to purchase mobo and CPU - could get the mobo but them lack funds for cpu and i'd rather just get them at the same time

also the double D XFX model is wayyy bigger than i thought it was. #E-PEN... but all legit card

Update on Card: made a piece to add a red accent to the card other than the fan hubs see spoiler-

I'd purchase them separately, actually. Both Ryzen7 chips and AM4 motherboards aren't nearly meeting demand, so waiting for both to be in stock simultaneously is like waiting for Jupiter and Saturn to align at the moment. Of course your retailer will say they'll reserve parts for you as they arrive, but I've known enough people being dicked around with that to advice a skeptical attitude to such promises. If I'd preordered my 1800X and Aorus Gaming 5 separately, the CPU could have shipped on launch day, and the motherboard yesterday, but instead I'm still sitting here waiting for news...

Main Rig "Melanie" (click!) -- AMD Ryzen7 1800X • Gigabyte Aorus X370-Gaming 5 • 3x G.SKILL TridentZ 3200 8GB • Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming • Corsair RM750x • Phanteks Enthoo Pro --

HTPC "Keira" -- AMD Sempron 2650 • MSI AM1I • 2x Kingston HyperX Fury DDR3 1866 8GB • ASUS ENGTX 560Ti • Corsair SF450 • Phanteks Enthoo EVOLV Shift --

Laptop "Abbey" -- AMD E-350 • HP 646982-001 • 1x Samsung DDR3 1333 4GB • AMD Radeon HD 6310 • HP MU06 Notebook Battery • HP 635 case --

When I get paid I think I'm going to go for it, however by that time the 6 core comes out the next day... So, the real question is do i wait for benchmarks on the 6 core part? also updated post last night.

Log OP updated in anticipation of my motherboard arriving tomorrow!

Last thing to purchase is the CPU, and then we can get everything built!

Let me know if you think I should go 1700 or 1600 for the CPU.

Sorted out the Gpu and how that will be put in, just need to drop the cpu when i buy it and the cooler. Build boots and displays no CPU debug currently. Would love an atx and 8+6 pin extension cable would make this build super great looking IMO. IMG_20170331_185430350_TOP.thumb.jpg.7187a1878b4111a03b06a8f00e6301cc.jpg

Personally I like a tri-tone type setups two main colors and an accent, maybe red being the accent to not have too much of it.

So i disliked the plastic of the S340, but bought this case as it was reasonably priced for what I would get, and dislike full tempered glass such as the s340 elite. So, I took it upon myself to pain and put in a piece of glass into this case.

Removing the lip here allowed me to mount the window seemlessly (no literally). I took a picture after a little bit of drying below, but  I have to clean up this panel yet and the mounting has to finish drying, which will dry clear at that point I will go in with a razorblade and clean up the right edge.

Sadly this CPU socket is still bare :(

Other updates, my paracord still hasn't arrived, and getting a little bit upset about that.
