Hello! I'm new to this forum and to water-cooling. I want to make a loop for my PC but have no idea what I'll need. I have no experience with custom loops and have only ever used my AIO and i think its finally time to set up some "real" water-cooling. I definitely want to cool both my CPU and my GPU (i7 7700k & EVGA 1080 FTW) and probably use soft tubing. I know I'll need a pump, some tubing, a radiator , and some water blocks but that's about all I know. This is where i need some assistance, I would love some help putting together a parts list as I'm not aware of the best combinations of the available components. I am also not very attached to my current case (HAF XB Evo) and expect to change it as it only really has a spot for 1 280mm rad so I'm open to any suggestions for new cases as well. This is not really a budget project so I can spend some cash on good water blocks and things but I don't want to spend ridiculous amounts.

TLDR: I'm trying to put together a liquid cooling loop, show me what i need.

Thanks for any help you can give.

Welcome to the Forums!

A good place to start would be something like EKWB's configurator or to get a kit and build out from there, to give you an idea of the cost for a proper loop your will be looking at a starting price of $500 for a single CPU and GPU. I would recommend the P series if your going for a kit as they have the higher quality D5 pumps.

Thanks for the fast reply, and I did look into the swift tech kits, my question regarding those is would a single rad, even the 360 included in the x360 kit be enough to cool both an overclocked CPU and GPU? I've heard that I should have at least 1 240mm rad for each cooled component.

A 360mm rad would be adequate for a GPU and CPU loop however if you want it to be absolutely dead silent while at full load more rad space can help as you can run your fans at very low RPM.
