"Jesus Loves You" Hidden In Doom (2016)

Go to solution Solved by Vulrax,

I find that kinda funny

JESUS LOVES ME THIS I KNOW, FOR THE DEMONS TELL ME SO

Mick Gordon (the beautiful man above), the hands behind Doom (2016)'s soundtrack hid some easter eggs into the game on his end of the game - through the music. One of them were discovered right after the game came out, that which Mick hid the numbers 666 and a pentagram in a track (seen below).

Quote

Using a program that generated audio patterns that mimicked image files, Gordon assembled the number of the beast (666) and tucked it away into one of the songs.

However, it was revealed at GDC that there was another easter egg that was a demonic voice saying "Jesus loves you", but backwards - so you had to play it backwards in order to hear "Jesus loves you". You can listen to the audio here, but I suggest turning on every light in your home as well as playing an episode of the teletubbies in the background.

You'll have to listen to the audio through Soundcloud, which is a cancerously coded website but y'know.

Found a link from someone who discovered this easter egg a few months ago. I linked the exact timing that should take you directly to the reversed audio. Or you can actually go to the original article linked at the top =)

I think it's pretty fucking hilarious, and I'm a Christian myself. This stuff is what makes projects fun as people slide in easter eggs into their work for fans to discover.

If you read the article about why he did it, I don't think it's ironic as it was firing shots at fundamentalist Christians, which I am not.

Your statement was ironic.

I like it. It's pretty cool that the devs implemented it in the game, and it fits the theme, though maybe it shouldn't be hidden.

On a side note: I went to Macau at Christmas once and some religious people were actually shouting this to people and giving out free bags.

I always love it when someone says they don't care, but went to the trouble of making a post about it, showing that they cared enough. xD
