Hi, I have a Toshiba External Hard Drive 1TB USB 3.0. My daughter has accidently tried to record a TV show and formatted the drive. The drive is not being detected by my PC or my LG TV. Is there a way to recover my data as the drive has photos from close to 10 years ago

Thanks

if not send it to a data recovery service, your paying 300+, but its the best way to get your data back.

Don't touch the drive.

No backups, yes, I am a fucking idiot

What's the best data recovery centre in Melbourne, AUstralia

did you check disk management? see if it's detected there

you can still get your files back from the formatted drive IF it's detected and you didnt overwrite it too much, albeit without folder structure (means all files will be in one big folder, all jumbled together, u can sort em out yourself if you want)

u can use softwares like Recuva to extract the files, then sort em out manually.

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

It isn't in "This PC" but it is in Disk Management. It says that its 100% Free.  I feel like sending it to a data recovery service is safer
