Hey !!!

So while i wait for the email of focusrite support...

I was wondering if it's possible to reduce to x1 the speed of a pci-e slot, and only that one? (theres a pci-e firewire card on it)

I'm asking this to downgrade because apparently in some cases, it worked out the issue, being the firewire card not detecting the focusrite saffire interface.

You can see here: https://support.focusrite.com/hc/en-gb/articles/206849129-My-Saffire-interface-will-not-connect-after-Windows-10-upgrade

(the #1 at the bottom)

Anything changed in my setup besides my computer (im using the pci-e firewire card #1 they suggest) on a asus rog maximus ix motherboard, i7 7700k 32gb ram, a new firewire cable, everything is new and i have more issues than with my older firewire onboard the motherboard of a asus p6t...  thanks for the help :)

Thanks!!!

Have you tried the other ones? The short length ones are PCIe x1. On some Asus boards, only the x16 slots can run at a older gen, by changing it in the bios. You can still plug your firewire card into the x16 slot.
