My build has an WD Blue series hard drive 1TB (7200 RPM) and an SanDisk PLUS 120GB SSD. When I download large files there is a rare occasion when the download pauses and I am shown the DISK WRITE FAILURE message. I examined the situation (Bad Pun Alert) and i diskovered that the SSD is working just fine, but the HDD is sometimes malfunctioning. If anyone could advise me, so i can fix the issue, that would be very gentle.

Scan the drive with WD Lifeguard Diagnostics, extended run test (It's going to take a few hours). If it fails, RMA the drive.

It's possible you have a dead on arrival or partially damaged drive. It happens a lot with hard drives these days...depends on how "happy" the mail guy is that day if you order online...

I just want to add that the HDD if 2 months old... yeah...It shouldn't be broblematick by now, should it ?

Well, did you test it when you first got it? You might've had a drive issue but ah, it's been unnoticed until now. Sometimes there are parts of the disk that are damaged but don't show up until you start filling up the disk more.

I would just run the test to double check.
