fx6300 +bequiet dark rock pro 3 disabled fan

hello, recently inspired by a video on here, I want a silent build for my office PC, i currently have a bequiet pure rock slim cpu cooler but feel it makes quite a loud noise and as it is the main sound i listen to all day i would rather it was not present at all....

so, bearing in mind this pc will mostly be used for non-games, would it be ok to disable the fans on the bequiet dark rock pro 3 and use it for office tasks? i just ordered it. although when play games occasionally i could plug in the cpu fan.

PC:

fx 6300, 2*4gb ddr3 crucial ballistix 1866 ram, asrock 970 pro 3, gtx 560 ti, bequiet pure rock slim cpu cooler. psu Xilence Performance A+ Series 530W, cooler master ceuturion case.

thanks

You can adjust the fan curve depending on the cpu temperature. The hotter the cpu gets the higher the fan RPM. Find a fan speed that doesn't let you cpu get too hot and set it as max. Scale down the speed in ratio to temp accordingly. If temp is fine, the fan doesn't matter, you can turn it off

If its a silent wings 3 fan with the Pro 3 like there is with the non-pro version, its insanely quiet... I can barely hear it even if i turn it to 100%.......

The fan shouldn't be loud.

I'd suggest double checking that it is indeed the cooler by stopping the fan with your hand.
