Is a 24 inch curved monitor worth it?

Hey guys i just found a 24 inch curved 1080p 60hz freesync va monitor while browsing. Is curved worth it at 24 inches screen size?

Also, how long would the rx 480 8gb last at ultrawide 1080p if i got one of those?  (i am ready to play at a minimum of medium and high settings)

I'd say no to the curved 24", I have a regular 27" in front of me right now and I really can't see any benefit to having a curved display at a 16:9/10 ratio especially at that size.

As for your second question, yeah it will probably be fine. If you did have performance issues which I doubt you could also run games at 1080p and still have your desktop at 2560x1080

What do you mean? Will the game in 1920x1080 stretch sideways to fill the full 2560 pixels?

No, you will just have black bars either side to fill the space so the game will still be at 16:9. In any case though I really don't think performance for that card will be a problem at 2560x1080.

No one can really say, it depends on what games you're playing and what you're happy to settle for performance wise.

At the moment I have a GTX 770 2GB which came out in 2013, and I have no intention of upgrading in the near future as it does an OK job at pushing games at 1440p at medium-high settings. I am playing a mix of Arma III, CS:GO, Insurgency among others.

Curved monitors in my humble opinion are only worth it if it's ultra-wide or if it is a nice TV, normal 16:9 and 16:10 monitors especially such a small one, lol yes 24inch is kinda small nowadays, is not worth it.

You should Ultra every game even at 2560x1080.

Maybe on some games you have to drop a few settings down to "High", and you can cap 60 fps.

 

 

Using a 2560x1080 Monitor, but Gaming in 1920x1080 with bards is completel utterly Bullshit (Except you play an older game, which does NOT support 21:9 widescreen format)  Makes zero Sense. Those "few" additional pixels won't make much of a difference. And if you don't GAME in ultrawide, there is no point in getting one in first place. Because for Browsing, uiiltrawide is useless.99% of all websites don't even utilize 16:9 ^^"

 

No matter what Monitor you use, you should ALWAYS run native resolution, and just use Settings untill your fps are fine.
