most of the time it really depends on how you treat it

but i never heard any bad stories bout asus laptops, and most of the time you'll replace the laptop earlier because of low performance than the laptop breaks

Where I work I see people coming in with 1 year old laptops that died and some people walking in with 10 year old laptops that they want to replace 'because Vista is not supported anymore'. I can't say any brand is any worse than another, so it will just depend on luck and tech-savyness how long the laptop will last.

Depends on your luck...Asus quality not bad; however, my dad's friend bought an Asus laptop and it died after a year

The laptop has been about 4 years old ( 4 years old this November) it's comes preloaded with Windows 8 and been upgraded to 8.1 then 10.  It cost about RM 2000 plus in November 2013 but I got it at around rm 1900 plus
