What would be a better fan for the radiator on the R9 Fury X? I'm doing a bit of maintenance on my friends pc and the air coming from the 120mm rad on the Fury X is insane. I figured he could get a bit better temps with a better fan, maybe in push pull. If it's not worth it, then fine. Just checking if a better fan would be change his temps a bit.

Was having a LAN party once and his exhaust almost burned my foot, it's insane.

It uses Nidec or Gentle Typhoon fans, they are regarded to be some of the best fans out there right in line with Noctua's.

So changing it won't make much of a difference then?

Push and Pull may help a few degrees at most, but you won't see a major difference in temps with new fans or a push and pull config.

If the fan is ejecting tons of heat from the card, there's no work to be done here... That's what's supposed to happen when you have a good fan. Fans keep things cool by blowing their heat away, not by producing coldness or something.

I know, He's just been complaining about it and I thought I'd quickly post a topic here.

Alright. If the temperatures on the core are really high or the fan sounds like a jet engine then it may be worth looking into, but otherwise nothing really to worry about. The card produces a certain amount of heat, and that's the amount of heat that will be felt coming off of the card's cooling system. The efficiency/effectiveness of the cooling system will not change how much heat it puts off, so feeling a lot of heat isn't a sign of a poor cooling system.

Well, if he keeps complaining I'll have him buy another graphics card. Thanks for the reply
