NBN co Announces first Fibre-to-the-curb Suburbs

a few months ago, documents were leaked about the nbn talking about a "Plan B" For the Old HFC (Hybrid Fibre Co-axial) Optus network. Saying they would replace it with FTTC. Now some suburbs have been released (Melbourne and Sydney) I originally was going to get HFC but maybe not know. Ever since they removed the three-year construction plan everyone has been confused on what they are getting. (Now they updated their site, they will know tell you an estimate of when you will get the nbn and what type. REMEMBER Only an estimate.)

I'm pretty pissed off myself cause' when I put in my address they're saying inbetween jan-june 2019!!! FFS they said the H1 of this year... And they said HFC... If they're using "plan b" Why are they giving me HFC?!.

Suburbs that are getting FTTC:

Melbourne: Burnside, Brooklyn, Coburg North, parts of Collingwood, Cremorne, Richmond, Caroline Springs, Derrimut and Williamstown

Sydney: Alexandria, Botany, Denham Court, Erskineville, Horningsea Park, Hunters Hill, Mona Vale and Woronora Heights.

Yea if your close enough to the road side box, VDSL2 speads here in NZ range from 30Mbps to 70Mbps at best. That 100/40 claim is an utter lie.

the only reliable isp i have seen deliver 100/40 on any type of thing (fttp,hfc stuff like that) Is my republic. basically always within 90mbps download and 30 upload.
