Kaby Lake PC Freezes on restart/shutdown/wake from sleep randomly

Hey guys, just built my brother a kaby lake i5 build and we originally had just one r9 280 3gb installed and it ran everything great with very little issues.

We just decided to go ahead and install the 2nd r9 280 3gb and had huge performance gains with very little issues with temps so everything seemed to be golden and set.

Well after downloading some more games and playing for a week or so, we started to notice that when he goes to just restart the computer from desktop it will freeze on the restart screen, if we try to wake the computer from sleep it sits at a greyish screen for quite a long time, then will go to the windows login screen and be fine, also sometimes when we try to shutdown the pc it will just freeze at the shutting down screen. All games run smooth and no stutter or anything, no real issues while the computer is running we can do everything normal and fine.

Current setup is

i5 7600k Stock on corsair h55 60c temp

Crossfire R9 280 70Ctemp

4x2GB DDR4

Samsung 240gb

WD 3TB

500GB HHD

Refurbished 850 watt corsair RM series (only used part besides hard drives)

6600k isn't kabylake.

these are the temps after stress tests?

do you mean 2x4 or 4x2 gb? I don't think they don't make 2gb sticks of ddr4.

Have you reinstalled windows or is that the last hope?

If its windows 10 there is a reinstall option from there without needing to re-download.
