diypcdesk DIY pc desk (replica of Linus pic desk)

This looks great, its something I wanna do but I don't have the space to build it. Somethings I wanna mention:

 

1) I'm not sure about the loading of the desk + legs. It looks like a lot is depending on the security of that rear shelf giving rigidity to the legs - how stable is it?

2) Please spray the other components to match your rad and pump (red) or are you using all new black components?

3) Where are you sourcing your glass as it's often the hardest part to get

4) Don't forget careful placement of the drain, a desk build aint gonna be easy to move to drain it in the future

5) Are you going to use PCIE riser cables for better GPU placement?

6) Is white the final colour or base coat? I love white builds (sig projects gives this away! )

 

Taking nothing away, it looks great so far!

Thanks ! To answer your questions,

1. The legs are very sturdy, it is glued with high grade construction glue and 4 screws on each side :).

2. Yes I am going to spray some of the other components like the res, all my components are new and I haven't yet had the time to spray them all  but the desk is going to be black/red so some small components is going to be black. 

3.I have like 4 different glass shops in my city that you can order special sized glass  

4. Yep I'm going to have a quick release after the pump for easy drainage

5. No since I'm going to use 2 in sli I will not be using any riser cables:p

6. No this is just the primer color, black with red, will be painting today so will be uploading later tonight. (Swedish time)

First coat done! It's not going to be glossy but matt black!

Id be tempted to put an acrylic floor in the bottom, maybe on legs to give some options to route cables etc, you could also get black and red pieces to match the theme

So that's how I'm going to route the cables. I'm going to set 3-4 anchor points to hold the cables in line!

If I was to do it, I think I would depin the cables drill holes and route the cables (individually) under the table and back through next to the required socket. I thought the exact same thing when I looked at Linus' build

I didn't think the led light was strong enough so I put a small plastic mirror under the edge. Hope it gives a little more light from the reflection
