I found this:

http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/sager-np8950-clevo-p950hp6-review-by-htwingnut.805339/

It looks fine, CPU and GPU temps are especially impressive when notebooks like the Zephuryues (I'm sorry not gonna bother spelling it) cook up.

is it something that can be fixed with undervolt \ cooling pad\ vaccum cooler (or however it called)?

Yes, they aren't right.

Undervolting directly lowers temps.  A cooling pad may help a little but it does depend on fans, though I'd expect it to help a little.

I still wouldn't recommend going that route when laptops exist that don't need that to even work properly.

I have access to a P950, messed with it a little before I went away, I'll probably use it again shortly.

Obsidian (P650HP6-G) vs XMG (P651HP6-G)? Material looks a bit different, don't know if it's just for looks.

They offer pretty much the same components, and at almost the same prices, only difference is that Obsidian appears to care more about the customer by stating they stress test the machines before shipping them, or that they offer better thermal paste; not to say that XMG doesn't do the same, it's just that they don't say they do. Only other (not as important) difference is that Obsidian ships from Portugal therefore making delivery to me more expensive than XMG which ships from Germany.

Any advice on the matter? Thanks.

XMG uses it's own brand of thermal paste and it's garbage from what i hear, they do however offer an upgrade to Kryonaut thermal paste for 20€ which i rejected, i'll replace it myself.

P950HP6 added to the list.

Max fans with liquid ultra had a gpu max a 69C and cpu max of around 75C on Unigine Valley 1080p ultra.

This thing is great! It's so thin and still a P series Clevo so the build is quite good.

If you can get a good price.  Lenovo isn't bad but isn't all that well tested for good cooling, and have been caught like 4 times for spying on you...  I'm not a huge fan, if they bring something great to the table I'd recommend it, but I don't see why you'd pick the Y502 over the Inspiron 7567 tbh.

Yeah the Asus is actually probably better in this case.  But it's a fairly close call.

If you absolutely need something that thing its alright.  I'm not a huge fan of its performance.

What size do you want?  Pure beastly performance is like a Clevo P775DM3 or MSI GT73.

But more portable like an Aorus X5 or something.

Very nice overview, though I'm still wondering what gaming laptop would be recommended for tournaments (your usual moba's and shooters), regardless of price. Most mobile gpu's (upward from a gtx 1050 ti) would be fine, just as most cpu's (upward from a quad core i5). Factors that determine tournament grade gear are totally different, which include:

- The refresh rate of the display

- The response time of the display

- Connectivity (both wired and wireless)

Any thoughts?

You'd basically just want a laptop with a low response time and ethernet port.  The Clevo P650 comes to mind.
