Can i get hyperx cloud 2 7.1 to work with xbox one s

Hey I'm thinking about getting 7.1 headset for my pc and xbox one s and my question is will the 7.1 work on xbox one and if so how and if it doesn't is there a work around to it for example could I use the hyperx cloud 2 7.1 on my xbox one

I know I can use it I'm just asking if the 7.1 surround sound will work on xbox

From my understanding, no. You cannot plug the USB into the Xbox One and have the 7.1 surround sound to work. On HyperX website, they only show the headset being put into a Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter. I would love if it would work and I am going to try and email them about that now. 

 

Edit: I just plugged mine into a Xbox One, not an S. But it did not work, power is going through the headset, but the Xbox One did not recognize any devices other than my controller.

Yes you can get 7.1 with the Hyper X cloud 2. Connect via stereo then download Dolby Atmos app through the store. It sounds incredible.
