[EVGA Confirmed Fake] EVGA To Sell AMD Vega-based Video Cards

EXTRA SAUCE THAT MAKES IT COMPLETELY UNTRUE:

My heart skipped whenever I saw this. If Vega is going to give Nvidia's Pascal a hard time then I would like to consider switching to the red team. My personal problem is I'm an EVGA fanboy and I try to buy EVGA-whatever when I buy PC components.

But to be clear, this is NOT CONFIRMED.

Quote

Nvidia has also become more restrictive in recent years when it comes to board designs from their AIB partners, restricting maximum voltages on their enthusiast grade offerings and limiting their Titan series GPUs to Nvidia's stock cooler offerings.

These restrictions are some of the reasons why we have seen less enthusiast-grade overlooking cards like the MSI Lightning series and 3rd party dual GPU cards like the ASUS MARS series in recent years, which understandably annoys AIB partners like EVGA.

If this is true and Vega is good, I will more than likely be purchasing an EVGA Vega video card for sure.

COOL. I've always found it kind of odd that AIB makers are biased toward making cards for only one side or another, eg. XFX to AMD or EVGA to NVIDIA.

Supposedly whenever XFX stopped making Nvidia video cards exclusively, Nvidia didn't like that so now XFX only makes AMD video cards. :^)

Its not biased its they sign a contract saying they wont build cards for the other side. I cant remember who it was (Sapphire maybe?) where they started making cards for the other side and they got locked out by their original company

Pretty ironic how just a few days ago I was wondering why EVGA never sold AMD cards. Great news!

I didn't mean bias as in preference, I meant just making cards for one or the other and not both. Should've been clearer I guess.

It's nice that AMD fans can now experience the thrill of buying poor quality EVGA GPU's.

We can go back and forth all day about ATI and NVIDIA sucking.

So let's just sit back, enjoy some popcorn, and watch the fan boys roll in.

People hold surprisingly long grudges considering Nvidia improved from there while AMD didn't.

Although chill it was a joke

you can say amd is not the most power efficient, but you cant say they didn't improve.

Yeah but, AMD wise, Sapphire will always be better, at least as of now. They got a much more experienced background on these cards than EVGA. Likewise, they wouldnt be as good with Nvidia cards, as EVGA is.

At least i presume it should be like that, unless they share schematics and whatnot lmao.

Remember when XFX made Nvidia cards?

This is cool. I would buy and EVGA AMD card in a heart beat. But I HIGHLY doubt EVGA will cease making Nvidia cards.

If it puts them making Nvidia cards in jeopardy like it did with XFX then they won't do it most likely.
