Max res/refresh of AMD's VSR?

WhiteSkyMage

Hey I see AMD also has a resolution scaling, even though I am not sure if I am going to need it if I got with the monitor I've chosen.

But anyway, let me know - what's the highest resolution that VSR can scale from? Can I do like, 8K to 4K scaling (wow I guess I sound ridiculous am I not?).

If I scale from an X resolution, what's the max refresh I can get? I am not really sure with what kind of technology GCN will Vega 10 come with, but I guess it will be something new and would have better support.

The max I get with my 480 is 1800p using display port. I haven't tried with HDMI. I'm pretty sure I can get higher too if I just create custom resolutions myself.

Hmm, I see, ok. Well, then it's fine, I won't need it with the resolution that I am going for - 3840x1600 (21:9). If I could scale something down to that, but I am pretty sure that this doesn't even need that much of an AA either, does it? Native is ok. I will probably be getting around 60FPS, since GTX 1080 is struggling to reach 60FPS at full 4K 16:9.
