Hi, I would like to get a 512GB SSD NVMe M.2 card for my desktop.   I can't decide if the SM961 ($299) is worth the extra $100 over the PM961 ($199).   Is it that much quicker than in real world use.  Also, is the PM961 faster than the Samsung 950 PRO?   I read a lot of reviews and must of them are just synthetic benchmarks.   Thanks for any advice.

It's not fair to compare 256GB and 512GB drives

 

get whichever is cheaper, you'll be fine

Sadly there was only 512GB from one version and 256GB from another.

If we compare both 512GB, there won't be such a difference anymore.

 

So in this case cheaper SSD will be better choise.
