Hyper 212 evo vs. Msi x99 gaming pro

So I just got this to find out that it already has a backplate on it. What do I do at this point? All I have is a hyper 212 evo for a cooler so I'm screwed if I can't use it.

There are screws on the back of the motherboard. You can take off the existing backplate and put on the ones from the 212

Yeah the retention doesn't fit. It's not long enough to fit both ends.

the Evo only supports 1366 mountings

 

2011-3 is not supported anymore

you prob can only only use it on another PC

 

or contact CoolerMaster and see if you can get the backplate mounting for 2011
