New to ultrawide, between these two which do you recommend

Mentaltoast

I'm shoping for an ultrawide and trying to determine which to get. I don't know terribly much about them but i've been wanting one for quite some time.

I've got a i7-6700k and a 980ti. for whatever it's worth..

The two that i'm looking at are:

Samsung S34E790C

https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-S34E790C-34-Inch-Professional-Monitor/dp/B00Q7VCSGU/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1478781267&sr=1-1&keywords=Samsung+S34E790C

DELL Ultrasharp U3415W PX79

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00PXYRMPE/ref=twister_B01MREZO5M?_encoding=UTF8&th=1

Does either one have a distinct advantage over the other?

I'll mostly be using it for Gaming, Watching movies and light video editing.

Also; For the dell, theres two models a 1900 and an 3800 what is the difference between the two that makes it costs so much more?

Any info would be super awesome, thanks!

I've seen the dell model in stores and I was unimpressed. The samsung seems like a good bet

System: i7 4790K, Hyper 212 EVO, 16 GB Crucial Ballistix, GTX 1070 Super clocked, MSI Z97S SLI Krait Edition, Corsair RM 750, Corsair 750D (with 2 additional 140mm NZXT fans up top for exhaust.)

I've owned the Dell U3415W 3800R. It's very good. Dell's quality is very high imo for a monitor.

The difference between the 1900R and the 3800R is that the 1900R has a more pronounced curve. That's it. That's the whole difference. So where both are curved, the 1900R is more curved than the 3800R.

Just so you know, there is a review covering the differences between these two monitors: https://www.amazon.com/review/R3EXCR6LYVTJ2W/ref=cm_cr_rdp_perm?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B00Q7VCSGU

It states "Dell Wins" as the overall takeaway.
