RAM Usage is way to high PLEASE HELP

Hi,

On my mac (please don't ask or start a flame war) my ram usage has went through the roof for no reason , I use safari since it is native to mac but I have tried Chrome which is even worse.

Each Tab I have open uses 500 + MB

Youtube is the worst offender

It was not like this a week ago

 What should i do
